About Our Associate Pastors…

Pastor Shelly Boyd RevisedShelly D. Boyd

Associate Pastor

Shelly Denise Boyd was born and raised in Rochester, New York and is the only child of Melvin and Virginia Boyd.

Shelly became a member of New Life Fellowship in 1993 and has since, faithfully served in many areas of ministry. She is a current member of the Journey to Wholeness Deliverance Ministry and a Life Group Leader.

Over the span of 11 years, Shelly was heavily involved in the Worship Arts Ministry (formerly known as Fine Arts Ministry) in many different capacities; she was a choir member, worship leader, a member of the Jehovah-Nissi Flag and Banner team, Coordinator of the Banner ministry, and Coordinator of the Word Alive! Drama ministry.

Also, due to her strong gift of teaching, Shelly has been a facilitator, teacher and co-coordinator for Women’s Encounters and Conferences, Cleansing Stream Ministry Sessions, Wednesday Night Bible Studies, Prophetic Boot Camp Sessions, Leadership Retreats, and Worship Arts Ministry Seminars.  Due to her faithful service and commitment to the vision, she was ordained a minister at New Life in 2003.

Shelly is an employee of the Rochester City School District as a Parent Liaison and Mediator for Conflict Resolutions for World of Inquiry School #58.  She and her daughters also co-advise a Character Development/Step Program entitled “Crystals and Gems” for the youth of School #58. Her passion is to see youth reach their fullest and highest potential in Christ. 

Shelly believes that faith in God through Christ, sound teaching, hard work, discipline, understanding, and commitment to excellence are the keys to a successful future.  Her greatest desire is to see reconciliation among families and to see youth take their rightful places according to the plans that God has for them.

Shelly purposes to build strong relationships with our youth and their parents to ensure effective communication, as she believes these are necessary tools that will assist our youth in reaching their goals, tapping into their strengths and desires, and fulfilling their purpose.

She is the mother of two lovely daughters, Danielle and Fatima, whom she adores. She says her daughters and nieces, Stephanie and Latoyia, and her life group members inspire her to want to be better, do better and accomplish more for Christ.

Dave Britton Coleman, II

Associate Pastor

Pastor Dave Britton Coleman, II is a native of Buffalo, NY and the eldest of two sons. He is a graduate of Howard University and also earned a M.S. degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Pastor Coleman is currently employed as a Business Process Design Manager for the US Customer Business Operations Services Billing Transformation organization at Xerox Corporation.  Over the last 26 years at Xerox, he has held various electrical and systems engineering, information management, business process re-engineering / transformation and project management assignments.  Dave is also a certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt.  In addition to his direct responsibilities at Xerox, he teaches science to local grade school students as a 24 year participant in the Xerox Science Consultant Program (XSCP) and is the program manager for the Xerox Foundation’s Black College Liaison Program (BCLP).

Pastor Coleman and his family became members of New Life Fellowship in 1995. He has faithfully served in a multitude of ministries over the past 14 years; He was a member and chairperson of the Capital Improvement Fund Committee (CIFC), a team coordinator in Joshua Generation, a team leader of the North Star Commons CDC, Inc. Planning Committee, and team co-leader with his wife, Valerie, for the Singles Ministry. He has also served as a King’s Kids Academy teacher, School of Leaders and Bible Study facilitator/teacher, a Marriage Enhancement Ministry team member and coach along with his wife, Valerie, and a Life Group Leader.

Pastor Coleman is currently the Youth Pastor for King’s Kids Academy and continues to serve in many facets of ministry at New Life Fellowship.

Pastor Coleman has been happily married to the lovely Valerie Coleman, and is the proud father of a daughter, April Lee Woody, and a son, Dave Britton Coleman, III.

Pastor Bernard McNeill

Associate Pastor

Pastor Bernard McNeill (Bernard) is a native of Linden, New Jersey and a college graduate of Rutgers University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing.  Bernard and his family currently reside in Rochester, New York and have been dedicated members at New Life Fellowship Church since 1993. He was ordained into ministry in 1999.  As a member of New Life Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop Reginald A. McGill, he has served as Youth Pastor for the youth ministry (Joshua Generation) for more than a decade and has lead several additional boards and committees within the church creating strategies to help fulfill the vision that God has given to the Senior Pastor. Currently Bernard is Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care where he seeks to assist in the development and nurturing of God’s people, encouraging them to reach their full potential in Christ.  

Prior to entering full-time ministry, Bernard enjoyed a long and successful career as a marketing and sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry. He was the recipient of many regional and national awards for outstanding sales achievement for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Bernard now seeks to offer his experiences and years of training to the body of Christ with a passion for breaking through the religious traditions and barriers that thrive in keeping God’s people from experiencing His manifested promises.  His sincere belief is that through faith, every believer carries the potential to be transformed into spiritual champions by the power of the Holy Spirit and the teaching of God’s word.

Bernard and his wife Tina have been happily married for more than twenty years and are the proud parents of two sons, Kori and Miles. Tina has been his greatest ministry inspiration as well as a loving companion and “best friend”. Bernard understands that above all else, his family must remain his first call to ministry as he seeks to live out the God-Sized Dreams and Destiny ordained for his life .
